What we check on every laptop

Live data from real Windows APIs — not guesses. The things software cannot honestly measure (dead pixels, hinge feel, port wear) are checked by hand against a written checklist.

How a laptop gets certified.

Receive & inspect
Each laptop is checked physically — chassis, hinge, ports, screen, keyboard, and trackpad — before software testing begins.
Run the 17-point check
Our technician runs the QC tool. The 17 automated checks complete in roughly 60 seconds and produce a scored report.
Resolve any warnings
If a check warns or fails, we fix the issue or disclose it transparently. Laptops with unresolved FAILs do not go on sale.
Certify & list for sale
The customer certificate is generated and saved. The laptop is added to inventory with the certificate ready to ship.

Do all your laptops go through this check?
Yes — every refurbished laptop sold by The Laptop Shop Lucknow runs through this 17-point check before being listed for sale. If a laptop fails the check, it never reaches our shelves until the issue is fixed. The certificate is generated for every device, no exceptions.
What's the difference between PASS, WARNING, and FAIL?
PASS means the laptop is healthy and ready to ship. WARNING means there's a minor issue worth disclosing to you before purchase (a slightly aged battery, a missing antivirus signature, etc.) — we always tell you what it is. FAIL means we will not sell the laptop until the issue is resolved.
Will I receive the certificate with my laptop?
Yes. Every laptop we sell ships with the customer certificate — a one-page summary showing the device's specs, health verdict, key check results, and the date our technician signed it off. Keep it as a record of the laptop's condition at the time of purchase.
What if a problem appears after I take the laptop home?
We keep the full technical report on file for every laptop tested — indexed by Inventory ID. If you ever have a warranty question or a concern, we can pull up the original certification record and compare it against the laptop's current state. Contact us on WhatsApp with your Inventory ID.
What about things software can't measure?
Things like dead pixels, hinge feel, port wear, keyboard response, and trackpad accuracy can't be measured by software — so our technicians check them by hand against a written checklist. Every laptop gets both the automated 17-point software check and the manual physical inspection before sale.
Can I see how the test works?
You're looking at it. The "Watch a real laptop get certified" section above is the actual output the tool prints when our technicians run it on a laptop. The scoring shown is from a real Dell Latitude 7420 we tested. Nothing is staged.
